Companion

Her brown eyes meet mine.

She lifts a hopeful brow in my direction,

Waiting

And watching,

She knows my every nuanced move.

The measure of my breath grants her permission.

I turn up the corners of my mouth

And instantly she is by my side.

Her warm, wet kisses are intense and overwhelming.

I pull away,

Not like that, dear.

I search around for my shoes

She is overwhelmed with excitement.

So am I, honestly.

“Ok, girl,” I call,

“Let’s go for a walk.”
